In your case, a tablet/hybrid is probably not the best solution. You're looking for a laptop that will help your son to exploit his new typing skills and play Minecraft, and presumably other games. Minecraft is a Java program, which enables it to run on different platforms: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
